A photo always represents the best in people we are far from perfect, but we do love being together as a family. Our daughter Emily just turned twelve, going on eighteen. Our son Ben, full of gumption just turned nine and keeps us on our toes. Emily is our book reading, quiet, but confident introvert that has a servant heart. Ben is a strong silent type, and likes to be where the action is. He can make a friend anywhere if there’s someone to play with.
We feel a calling to help challenge and connect others into opportunities where they can find joy by serving God with the whole of their being. We feel that our spiritual giftings are in the areas of serving/helping, compassion and encouragement for people to reach towards where they are gifted. We find joy in opportunites to give and serve others in whatever way is needed. We feel this is equally for our children. We are less concerned that they get a A+ on their tests, and more concerned that they treat their teachers with respect, and those around them.
Prior to having children, Jodi spent many years in the field of cake decorating and bakery management. After a several years break from work raising our children to school age, she focussed on building a part- time Interior Design/Decorating business. She’s been helping people see the potential in their homes for quite a few years now and she’s truly thankful for the opportunity to do this and allow her creativity to flow into this ministry. She takes to laughter quite easily, is slightly OCD, and enjoys the simple things like drinking coffee, or a glass of wine depending on the time of day.
Darryl has a background in retail management and purchasing up until going fully self-employed in 2010 as a photographer and web designer. As a Commercial & Product Photographer, he works with clients that are trying to grow their businesses and find a unique way to tell their product story to the world. His work designing websites is with the same creative drive to help ordinary businesses and ministries expresses themselves to their customers in authentic ways. Darryl enjoys learning and watching any documentary he can get his hands on. He’s your average, but very helpful computer geek, disguised with a great smile.
Our work experience and temperment reinforce that we are both strongly creative, yet strongly analytical at the same time. Although we are two separate human beings, we work well together and are stronger when we work together versus apart. Sometimes we drive each other up the wall, but hey? What would the fun without that anyway?
