Thanks for your overwhelming response of love, advice, and prayers as we journey along in these next few weeks. We feel very encouraged by your wisdom, and look forward to connecting with you more as we hear from God. One of the things I in particular have been feeling is that even while we feel paralyzed when it comes to the “How things will happen” we need to keep trucking. It’s been quite difficult trying to manage all that we need to do, but need to take our long to do list and just keep working on it and the answers will arrive in ways beyond we can imagine.
In fact, this week has been on of those weeks where God has provided. A friend of ours Nigel has been a tremendous help into finding a new home for a Syrian family that has been in Canada approximately one year. All of us have been helping this family get settled in their new home, but the “To Do list” is great for this family, but slowly and surely God has provided us the new people to partner along side of us to make this family feel at home, loved, and provided for. Thank you to those that have stuck up their hands to help us!
I’d like to say a BIG thank you to Karen. Her and her husband Mark are new dear friends that we have gotten to know this past year and Karen and her family are one of the few families that will be joining us down in Mazatlan next February to partner with The Vineyard Church. Karen has been a pivotal part of this teams dynamics. Karen not only has a passion for travel, she has a passion to help people in real practical ways. For this we say thank you for your work on finding flights, and hotel prices for all of you!
During this week we will be serving the poor in Mazatlan through providing food, prayer, and other planed service events. The large part of their time will be spent on vacation with their families taking the time to rest, laugh, swim, and enjoy the Hotel that has been chosen. I want to make this clear, that this is not a missions trip, but a chance for their families to serve others while they are on Vacation. We are really excited to see them there in Mazatlan next year.
The major details are still in the works, but if you are still interested we’d still love to have you join us while flights and hotels are available. Just ask!
